Young Arts Arizona Ltd (YAA) helps kids feel good about themselves and celebrates young artists by publicly exhibiting their art.  Knowing challenged children express their difficult feelings through art,  YA collaborates with 40 schools and 30 agencies to work with children and youth who have cancer, arthritis, diabetes, are homeless, abused, detained, orphans, pregnant teens, mentally disabled, poor, learning challenged, survivors of disaster, war, torture, or are in some other way at risk.  The artwork created by at-risk children is annually seen by hundreds of thousands of people at public exhibits in Metro Phoenix and Tucson.

Young Arts Arizona collaborates with 35 venues, which serve as publicly accessible galleries. Ninteen of these are permanent galleries in which YAA exhibits year-round.  Purple Space is the YAA’s own gallery, located in the downtown Phoenix Arts District.
