Arizona Young Artists' Performance-March 27th at 7pm!
Did you know that Scott MacIntyre, a 2009 American Idol finalist, was the 2004 winner of the Arizona Young Artists' Competition? Who else will be discovered?
The Arizona Young Artists' Competition offers aspiring young artists, ages 16-20, an opportunity to compete in the areas of Acting, Modern Dance and Voice. The competition is a collaboration between the Herberger Theater Center and Center Dance Ensemble to showcase the diverse and emerging talent of young Arizona artists, introduce them to the audition process, and provide them with an opportunity to interact with highly-regarded arts professionals.
The preliminary competition takes place over a three-day period, a day each reserved for actors, singers and modern dancers. Four students are selected from each discipline to compete in the Arizona Young Artists' Finals. Winners in each category receive a $1,000 cash prize and an additional award is given in the PEOPLE'S CHOICE Category - decided by our audience!
