Soiree de Ballet features an added “Repertory” section with Modern, Flamenco and the Russian “Character Class,” choreographed by SSB Faculty.  We continue the evening with the perennial favorite, “The Ballet Class,” which features students from the Pre-Primary level through the Pre-Professional level, giving the audience a view into a Classical Ballet Class.  Next is an original one-act ballet created for the entire school entitled, “La Boutique Fantasque,” in which several village girls sneak into a magical toyshop that comes to life, full of delightful characters and dances.  Closing out the evening is a classical re-staged version of “Le Corsaire” in one-act. This romantic tale is set to the rousing and heroic score of Adolphe Adam, Leo Delibes and Ricardo Drigo.
