Growth, change, adaptation, revival and excitement...
That's what the Herberger Theater Center is all about this season.  Long considered the "Jewel of Downtown Phoenix" and the catalyst for the renewal efforts for more than two decades, the Herberger Theater now sets the tone for the next 20 years with our Grand Re-Opening in October 2010.  Much more than just a sprucing up for a space that is much more than a theater.

The community supported bond project has brought the theater forward in bold new ways to meet the audience of today in a City of Tomorrow.  We want the theater experience to begin when you arrive at the Herberger Theater... at the curb.  Come early to a show and enjoy the art gallery, a glass of wine on the veranda, a chat in the new Gallery Lounge, or just people watching in the evening shade.

We hope you will enjoy what we have added to this grand theater to keep downtown and the theater experience exciting, energizing, and relevant.  We at the Herberger Theater Center don't produce shows.  The magic of performance is the business of our resident companies: Actors Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company and Center Dance Ensemble, and the other performing companies that grace our stages.  Our job is to make the theater an important part of the performance and overall memorable experience.  We hope you experience and enjoy what's been done to move in that direction.
