Welcome to the Herberger Theater Center's
22nd Season!
More Than A Theater...
Oscar Wilde said, "The stage is not merely the meeting place of all the arts, but it is also the return of art to life." Similarily, a beautiful house may be attractive architecture but it becomes a home only when inhabitants bring it to life.
Last year, many improvements were made to enhance the patron experience and the performing companies' artistry. What a wonderful partnership in the business of shaping community and energizing downtown!
The theater and the performances that grace the stage are integral components of the downtown network of business, entertainment, residential, hospitality and commercial. Without theater, community is not whole. Without the arts, community is not innovative. Without arts in education, our children miss the greatest catalyst for imagination.
When you come to experience a show and wait for the curtain to rise and the theater to come to life, please ponder its context and the importance that this space, this performance, this downtown environment, and your attendance make in forming a healthy and prosperous community.
