From Rajiv Joseph (A Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo now on Broadway), comes the dark and haunting love story of Kayleen and Doug.
Their first meeting, they are 8 and in the nurse's office: Doug rode his bike off the school roof and Kayleen can't stop throwing up. Then the story moves forward and back over the course of 30 years, stopping only at the moments of injury and hurt, broken bones and broken hearts for the two star-crossed lovers. These are the only moments when their lives actually intersect. If only they could stay together long enough to stop each other's pattern of gruesome playground injuries.
